West End – 1st November

Main locations:

London’s festive season began with the West End’s first official light display, illuminating Piccadilly, Leicester Square, and St Martin’s Lane. The sparkling decorations will shine until January 6, bringing holiday magic to the capital.

Covent Garden – 12th November

Address: Covent Garden Piazza, London

Covent Garden dazzles once again with festive décor featuring golden bells, giant baubles, and spinning mirror balls that fill the Market Hall with seasonal sparkle. A towering 55-foot Christmas tree and hundreds of thousands of LED lights illuminate the Piazza and surrounding streets. The 2025 theme, “The Theatre of Christmas”, celebrates the area’s rich theatrical spirit.

Regent Street will shine once again from Thursday, 6 November 2025, as its famous Christmas lights return alongside neighbouring St Jamess. The iconic Spirit of Christmas angels will sparkle above Regent Street, Piccadilly, and Jermyn Street, joined by festive displays across nearby streets. In total, 300,000 energy-efficient LED lights will illuminate the area each evening.

This year’s “All is Bright” is a refreshed take on last year’s Into the Light display. It features large cuboid Christmas crackers and neon-lit stars, illuminated by more than 60,000 LED lights.
