Frieze Season 2026: An art lover’s guide to Fitzrovia
Autumn brings one of London’s most anticipated art moments back to The Regent’s Park, with Frieze Sculpture, Frieze London and Frieze Masters returning in October 2026.
From 14–18 October 2026, Frieze London and Frieze Masters returned to The Regent’s Park, placing an international art programme within easy reach of Fitzrovia Quarter.
Not just that, the creativity continues beyond the fairs, too. From 19 October, Fitzrovia Quarter’s own “What Holds Us Together” exhibition will bring six emerging artists’ perspectives to the Radiant House, turning Frieze week into the beginning of a longer month of artistic discovery.
Frieze London and Frieze Masters at The Regent’s Park
Every autumn, The Regent’s Park becomes a meeting point for artists, collectors, galleries and visitors during the Frieze season.

Both fairs take place from 14–18 October 2026. Wednesday is invitation only, with general admission beginning at 1pm on Thursday.

*For visitors combining the fairs with Fitzrovia Quarter, the entrances are worth keeping in mind. Frieze London is in the south of the park, with its entrance off Park Square West, while Frieze Masters is on Gloucester Green in the north-east, near London Zoo. The short walk to Fitzrovia Quarter is best planned from the southern side; allow additional time when leaving Frieze Masters.
Frieze Sculpture: Free outdoor art in Regent’s Park

For an open-air introduction to the season, begin with Frieze Sculpture in the English Gardens at The Regent’s Park. Running from 16 September–1 November 2026, the free exhibition offers a chance to encounter contemporary sculpture at your own pace, whether as part of a fair visit or a day out in its own right.
Curated by Fatoş Üstek, this year’s edition explores hybridity: the meeting of different materials, identities and forms. Angel Otero’s doorway draws the eye towards the ground, while Ramesh Mario Nithiyendran’s Warrior Figure presents a vivid, double-faced presence. Tarini Sethi’s intricate steel screens introduce imagined worlds into the landscape.
Elsewhere, Douglas White’s Black Palm II invites a closer look at how familiar forms can emerge from unexpected materials. Across the exhibition, the surrounding trees, shifting light and movement of other visitors become part of the experience.
There’s also a free Bloomberg Connects digital guide, including an audio tour narrated by Üstek, offers another way into the works. Leave time to wander before heading towards Fitzrovia Quarter: the transition from parkland to neighbourhood galleries is part of the day’s appeal.

Frieze week around Fitzrovia
Beyond the park, Fitzrovia’s programme brings art into hotel rooms, gallery spaces and a former hospital chapel. These three exhibitions offer different settings and perspectives, making them rewarding additions to a Frieze itinerary.
1. Minor Attractions at The Newman
13–17 October 2026 | 50 Newman Street
Minor Attractions brings an independent, sociable spirit to Frieze week, transforming The Newman Hotel into a place where contemporary art meets performance, film and nightlife.
The programme includes moving-image screenings, performances, conversations and readings. It is particularly appealing for visitors interested in how art interacts with music, publishing and shared spaces.
2. Middlesex Hospital Blues at Fitzrovia Chapel
16 October–18 November 2026 | 2 Pearson Square
Middlesex Hospital Blues, held at The Fitzrovia Chapel, offers a reflective encounter with Fitzrovia’s history. Curated by artists and filmmakers Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard, the exhibition responds to the chapel and the former Middlesex Hospital site through themes of remembrance, care and collective experience.

After Frieze: What Holds Us Together in Fitzrovia Quarter
Six artists, one creative neighbourhood
19–25 October 2026 | Radiant House
As the fairs draw to a close, What Holds Us Together opens at Radiant House, continuing October’s programme of art in Fitzrovia Quarter. The exhibition marks the culmination of our inaugural Studio Residency programme, which gave six emerging female artists rent-free studios at 53 Great Portland Street.
Selected from 253 applications, Esmeralda Conde Ruiz, Jingshan Ding, Purdey Fitzherbert, Holly Keogh, Monya Riachi and Tabitha Wilson have spent four months developing work in the neighbourhood. During this programme, painting, printmaking, sculpture, installation, writing, sound and performance come together inside the Grade II-listed Radiant House.

The fairs may finish on 18 October, but there is plenty more to experience nearby.
